An exciting new deal has been inked between tribal casino operator Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment, and Kambi Group.
Mohegan Gaming, based in the US, will now see its Fallsview Casino Resort (Canada) make use of Kambi’s award-winning online sports betting platform. Sports betting in Canada has been a lucrative market in Canada ever since the country legalized single-event sports betting in 2021.
Mohegan Gaming issued an official press release to announce the multi-year deal. According to the details provided, the tribal operator’s Fallsview Casino Resort will be launching its own signature PlayFallsview-branded online sportsbook. The online offering will use Kambi Group’s technology as its official platform.
Debut in Ontario
Mohegan Gaming also revealed that its online offerings will include an exciting and “unparalleled” ice hockey product. It will also include a special Bet Builder tool that allows sports betting enthusiasts to put together individualized bets.
The deal will allow Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment to take part in the recently launched iGaming sector in Ontario.
Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment, which is headquartered in Connecticut in the US, took over operations of the Fallsview Casino Resort and the Casino Niagara in 2018. This had been made possible by a 21-year “Niagara Gaming Bundle” contract with the OLG.
Determination Pays off
However, the most recent isn’t the first collaboration between Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment and Kambi Group.
In 2019, the two parties attempted to pair their resources with the launch of an online sportsbook for bettors in Connecticut. That deal, however, never came to full fruition.
According to Rich Roberts of Mohegan, it is exciting to now be able to enter a new partnership deal with Kami. Roberts said that once launched, the new platform will mark Mohegan’s first online mobile gaming endeavor outside of the US.
Kambi Group Has their Say
Kambi Group, which is headquartered in Malta, is a world-renowned provider of first-class sports betting products and services. Testament to the fact is that currently, the group’s products are used by more than 40 online casino operators across an impressive 17 American states.
These include prominent online betting regions in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.
Kambi Group CEO Kristian Nylen spoke in a recent statement about how Ontario is considered a significant market for the provider. And it’s certainly one jam-packed with potential.
Nylen said he is delighted by the inking of the deal alongside Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment. He looks forward to the launch of the PlayFallsview online mobile brand.
