Ontario’s newly regulated iGaming sector is growing rapidly, with several new providers and operators recently allowed into the booming space. The latest addition is sportsbook provider Pinnacle. Pinnacle’s approval by the local regulator, the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), steers the company ahead. This means the previously “grey market” operator will now be able to bring its premium online sportsbook content to players in a legal, regulated way.

Pinnacle Focused on Quality

Pinnacle will launch its sportsbook at Pinnacle.ca into the Canadian online gambling market. This will enable local sports enthusiasts to enjoy wagering on popular North American sports like the Canadian Football League and the National Football League.

Also licenced by AGCO was the provider’s B2B division, Pinnacle Solution. This means Pinnacle will bring its trading and risk management service to the province.

According to Pinnacle chief Executive Paris Smith, the provider knows that local sports fans deserve only the best in sports betting opportunities and products. Smith said the provider is thrilled to bring top-quality sportsbook content to a North American customer base.

Praise for Local Market

Smith also commended Ontario for its regulatory approach to online gaming and sports betting. He described local bettors as a knowledgeable audience. He expressed the company is looking forward to serving such a market with its “Winners Welcome” approach and mantra.

Last month, Ontario’s newly regulated iGaming sector reported revenue to the tune of a smashing CA$162 million for the period ending 30 June 2022.
